Community Built Film – “Nowhere Nevada” - Finishes Production
Next Stop: Record Deals and Film Festivals – Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca and Toronto

Reno, NV, – (Thursday, May 02, 2013) – Blessed and driven from beyond the grave.  That’s what it takes to make a film these days.

The cast and crew of Nowhere Nevada simply never gave up.  Not after 24+ hour days in the summer heat, not after seeing sunrise after sunrise, and not even after losing generator power multiple times.  And all out of the goodness of their hearts!  Nearly 97% of everyone involved in this production DONATED their time and effort for almost a year.  Even those who were paid worked tirelessly past any initially ball-parked amount of hours.

Over thirty bands from the last decade even allowed use of hand-picked, unreleased songs to our AMAZING movie soundtrack. So how this is even possible?  Would you believe the reason is now over a decade past?  That it truly revolves around the undying love and gratitude for someone who passed away in 2004 and that it’s really about closure and appreciation for, and from, an entire community.

Her name was Marianne Psota, a beloved Northern Nevada music promoter, and the sole reason this movie even exists, because she wrote it and lived it.  It’s a story that truly needs to be told, for healing, and for closure.  These are NOT just commonly misused yet enticing PR buzz words. These are honest facts here in our community.

To fully understand Nowhere Nevada, you would have to realize that this film is amazingly nationally representative.  That it’s really about the historic nuisances found in the underground music, art and corresponding drug scenes everywhere.  It’s very real, and very interesting.

Andy Luna, actor and musician featured in Nowhere Nevada has already landed a record deal before film production even finished.  His song, featured early in the film will soon be a track on the upcoming Seasons of Insanity album.  Three of Nowhere Nevada’s actors and Producer/Casting Director Juli Green were involved in the SUNDANCE award-winning movie “This is Martin Bonner” - Audience Favorite 2013.
